Power Flushing is a highly effective cleansing operation which works by pumping water at a much higher velocity than usual through the heating system, to loosen and mobilise harmful corrosion deposits and to suspend them in the rapidly moving water.
Specialist cleansing chemicals and an instantaneous flow reversal device makes the process more effective, this creates turbulence in the radiators as they are individually flushed to optimise the pick up of debris, once loosened the unwanted debris is purged from the system with clean water.
After power flushing the system will be treated with inhibitor to keep the water clean.
Most manufacturers now insist that this is carried out to comply with their warranty conditions, as any faults arising from debris within the system during the warranty period will not be covered and may cause their guarantee to be null and void.
